Our Sand-pit Sand is a clean, washed, natural fine sand, selected for use in children's sand pits, as used by generations of the McGee family. It is an excellent sand for sand-castles due to its water-retaining properties.

Sands for Lawn and Soil Improvement

Lawn Dressing Sand - a fine turf top-dressing sand for lawns, designed to the standard used on golf and bowling greens. Promotes a good balance between water retention in dry weather and drainage in wet weather.
Soil Amelioration Sand - opens up soil structure to allow roots and micro-organisms to respire, easy penetration of plant roots, and rapid drainage. If a gardening book says 'use sharp sand to improve your soil', use this one.
