Construction Gravels
Our single sized, graded and all-in construction aggregate gravels comply with BS 882. If you are specifying to the incoming European BS EN standards, please contact us for more details. All our gravels are available subject to quantity and notice.
Single Sized and Graded Aggregate Gravels
- 6mm Single Sized Aggregate Gravel - used for specialist applications, e.g. bedding and haunching pipes of 100mm (4'') bore or less.
- 10mm Single Sized Aggregate Gravel - a 10mm single sized gravel for concrete and other applications. Examples of uses might include as a coarse aggregate for fine concrete mixes or drainage stone type A10 (Pea Gravel), or for bedding and haunching pipes of between 100mm (4'') and 300mm (12'') bore.
- 20mm Single Sized Aggregate Gravel - a 20mm single sized gravel for concrete and other applications. Examples of uses might include as a coarse aggregate in both reinforced and un-reinforced concrete construction or drainage stone type A20.
- 40mm Single Sized Aggregate Gravel - a 40mm single sized gravel for use in concrete and other applications. Examples of uses might include as a coarse aggregate for un-reinforced concrete construction or drainage stone type A40, or for bedding and haunching pipes of over 1350 (4'6") bore.
- 20mm Graded Aggregate Gravel - a 20mm graded gravel for concrete and other applications (e.g. pipe bedding).
All-in Aggregates
Also known as all-in or mixed ballasts.
- 10mm All-In Aggregate - a blend of sand and gravel aggregate which requires only the addition of cement and water for the production of concrete. It uses a using a finer gravel than the 20mm equivalent, for use in pathways, cavity fill etc.
- 20mm All-In Aggregate - a blend of sand and gravel aggregate which requires only the addition of cement and water for the production of concrete.
Miscellaneous
- 40mm Crusher Run Aggregate Gravel - a crushed gravel ranging in size from 40mm to dust. Used especially for structural fill and the construction of private roads and driveways.
